Hi, I'm Sofia Kalamaris — a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals improve their health through evidence-based nutrition and sustainable lifestyle change.

I am passionate about women's health, metabolic health, diabetes management, and chronic disease prevention. My approach goes beyond restrictive dieting and quick fixes. I believe in creating realistic, lasting habits that support overall well-being, confidence, and long-term health outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively in diabetes care, weight management, metabolic disorders, and nutrition counselling, supporting individuals with personalized strategies tailored to their unique lifestyles and goals. I take a compassionate, client-centered approach that focuses on mindful eating, positive relationships with food, and practical nutrition solutions that fit real life. I am registered to practice in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta, and I continue to stay current with emerging research and advances in nutrition, women's health, obesity care, and metabolic wellness.

Professional Values

The principles that guide every patient interaction and clinical decision.

01

Patient-Centered Care

Every consultation begins with listening. Treatment plans reflect each patient's individual circumstances, preferences, and health goals; never a one-size-fits-all template.

02

Evidence-Based Practice

Recommendations are grounded in peer-reviewed research and current clinical guidelines. Patients receive strategies that are proven to work. Not trends or conjecture.

03

Transparent Communication

Clear, jargon-free explanations empower patients to make informed decisions. Open dialogue is a non-negotiable part of every appointment.

Clinical Approach

Sofia Kalamaris practices integrative nutrition care addressing not only dietary intake, but the behavioural, lifestyle, and psychological factors that shape long-term health outcomes. She collaborates closely with referring physicians, allied health professionals and the client to deliver coordinated, cohesive care. Her approach prioritizes education and self-efficacy: patients leave each session with a clear understanding of the "why" behind their plan, the tools to implement it confidently, and the ongoing support to sustain progress over time.

01

Comprehensive Initial Assessment

In-depth review of medical history, laboratory values, lifestyle patterns, and personal goals to build a precise, individualized nutrition plan

02

Preventive & Proactive Management

Early intervention strategies to reduce the risk of complications, improve biomarkers, and support long-term metabolic health before issues escalate

03

Whole-Person Wellness

Integrating nutrition with sleep, stress management, physical activity, and mental wellbeing for outcomes that extend well beyond the clinic

A personal note

A Note From Sofia

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.

If you've spent years trying different diets, following conflicting nutrition advice, or wondering why healthy eating feels harder than it should, you are not alone.

My goal is to help you take the confusion out of nutrition and create a realistic approach that works for your life—not someone else's.

As a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with over 20 years of experience, I've helped hundreds of individuals improve their health through evidence-based nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes.

Whether your goal is weight management, improving metabolic health, managing diabetes, navigating hormonal changes, or simply feeling more energized, I believe lasting health is built through small, consistent changes.

Together, we'll work to improve not only what you eat, but also your relationship with food, movement, stress, and overall well-being.

I look forward to being part of your journey.

Warmly,
Sofia Kalamaris, RD, CDE
